Our reforestation initiative brings people together to restore ecological balance and helps sustain the environment by enhancing productivity, sequestering carbon, conserving soil health, fostering animal habitats, and producing renewable resources.

Biological Corridors

We work to create biological corridors and enrich the surrounding environment. As a result, these spaces contribute to the restoration and maintenance of biodiversity, enabling migration and dispersion of flora and fauna species.

Social Economic

Bosques Biodiversidad helps alleviate poverty and protects Honduran forests through the use of agroforestry. This sustainable land use system offers educational and economic opportunities providing the materials and training necessary to preserve the natural and cultural heritage for future generations.

  • Our Mission

    Our primary mission has been planting trees and developing agroforestry activities on previously degraded land. Recently Bosques Biodiversidad began working with local forestry cooperatives with the goal of creating employment, transferring know-how and expertise, and applying governance principles.

    Our values of biodiversity, community inclusion and gender equality are evident in our efforts to reforest depleted lands, to protect the surrounding forests, fauna and watersheds; to provide a sustainable and diversified source of income to the local comunities.

  • Our Comunity

    Our properties near Pico Bonito National Park help conserve and protect the national park and its wildlife resources. We foster positive relationships with our neighboring groups and, forestry cooperatives that hold concessions to manage forests legally, aiming to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). Educating and collaborating with local communities provides the necessary foundation to build a lasting future for successive generations

Fruits

Tropical Fruits

We grow tropical fruits such as Rambutan, Pulasan, Mangosteen, Achachairu, and Cacao Fino.
Our fruit exports to USA, Canada, and European markets are Rambutan and Mangosteen while in the local market, we sell Rambutan and Mangosteen, Pulasan, and Achachairu. 
 
Woods

Wood Products

We plant and grow tropical plantation hardwoods for sustainable timber sales of species such as Teak, Mahogany, Rosewood, Paleto, Cortes, Huesito, Celillon, and Cumbillo.
In our workshop, we produce artisanal crafted finished furniture products such as tables, chairs, desks, doors, and framings.
